Meet Dr. Shane Hoelz

Dr. Shane Hoelz is an accomplished orthodontist who has called Denver home for the past eight years. Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Hoelz earned his B.S. in chemistry and human biology from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, graduating summa cum laude and earning recognition as an Academic All-American athlete on the Nordic ski team. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine before specializing in orthodontics with a postgraduate certificate from Rutgers University in New Jersey.

After completing his residency training, Dr. Hoelz practiced in Greater New York City before relocating to Colorado. He is excited to join the team at Eng Orthodontics, where he continues to pursue his passion for orthodontics. Dr. Hoelz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists. He has been recognized as a “Top Orthodontist” in 5280 magazine for the last seven years, and he has been published in respected journals, including Operative Dentistry and the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Dr. Hoelz takes great pride in listening to his patients’ concerns, ensuring they feel heard, and working together to achieve the best possible results that leave them truly happy with their smile.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Hoelz enjoys spending time with friends and frequently visits family in Wisconsin. He is an avid skier, mountain biker, hiker, and runner, and loves to explore all that Colorado’s outdoors have to offer. Dr. Hoelz’s dedication to his patients and love for adventure make him a great fit for both his profession and his vibrant Colorado lifestyle.
